Alanis Morissette's Manila concert is finally happening in August
This is all we really want!
After several postponements, Alanis Morissette is finally heading to Manila for a concert to celebrate the anniversary of her most famous and iconic album “Jagged Little Pill.”
The final date has been set for August 1 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, according to Ovation Productions.
Ticket prices range from P2,750 to P14,750. These will be on sale starting March 29 via smtickets.com. The seat plan is yet to be released.
According to Ovation, tickets from the 2020 shows will not be honored. Fans need to refund these tickets and purchase new ones.
The upcoming “Jagged Little Pill” show is part of her world tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the album.
The Manila concerts were originally scheduled for two nights in April 2020, and were then moved to December 2021 and November 2022 before being canceled.
“Jagged Little Pill” is best known for its raw, angsty lyrics, and holds the tracks “You Oughta Know,” “Hand in My Pocket,” and “Ironic.”
Alanis’ 1995 debut album earned five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. At 21, the singer-songwriter became the youngest performer to win the prestigious honor. A Broadway musical with songs from the album debuted in 2019.
