Original 'Naruto' anime is getting four all-new episodes for 20th anniversary
"Naruto" is returning for four brand new episodes!
Studio Pierrot just released a compilation video of the iconic anime series, including new footage.
According to Anime News Network, the special episodes will air starting September, leading up to the show's 20th anniversary.
The official "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Twitter account also released posters for the 20th anniversary episodes.
"Naruto" is based on the manga by Masashi Kishimoto. It follows a young ninja named Naruto Uzumaki, who dreams of becoming a Hokage, the leader of the Hidden Village of the Leaf.
The original anime adaptation ran from 2002 to 2007 in Japan, and was followed by the sequel that ran from 2007 to 2017.
A spin-off and sequel following Naruto's son, Boruto, began in 2016.
