Twitch streamer Kyedae diagnosed with cancer

Kyedae has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.

On Twitter, the Twitch streamer announced she will start treatment soon.

“With that being said I’m not too sure how my body will react to the treatment so I do apologize in advance if my stream schedule isn’t consistent! Stay safe,” she said.

Replies to the tweet are filled with support and well wishes for Kyedae’s speedy recovery.

According to Cancer.org, acute myeloid leukemia starts in the bone marrow and most often moves to the blood. It can also spread to other parts of the body such as “the lymph nodes, liver, spleen, central nervous system (brain and spinal cord), and testicles.”

This form of cancer “develops from cells that would turn into white blood cells.”

Born Kyedae Schmyko, the 21-year-old is part of the gaming organization and lifestyle brand 100 Thieves. She is engaged to fellow streamer TenZ.

Kyedae was one of the guests of CONQuest 2022 in the Philippines. The event is a “celebration of gaming, music, and pop culture,” according to its website. She is also a guest for the 2023 edition.

During her time in the country, Kyedae vacationed in Boracay.
