Filipino drag queen Maxie to compete in 'Queen of the Universe' S2


Here's another Filipino representation in an international contest!

Filipino drag queen Maxie is set to compete in the second season of international drag competition, "Queen of the Universe."

Among the 10 contestants worldwide, Maxie is the only one from the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

Joining Maxie on the cast are "Drag Race Holland" alum Love Masisi, "Drag Race Italia" alum Aura Eternal, Chloe V, Jazell Barbie Royale, Militia Scunt, Miss Sistrata, Taiga Brava, Trevor Ashley, and Viola.

Streaming exclusively on Paramount Plus, "Queen of the Universe" is a singing competition for drag queens. The winner will take home a cash prize of $250,000.

On Instagram Wednesday, Maxie said she has been waiting all her life to join a competition such as "Queen of the Universe."

 

 

"I have always dreamt of performing [on] an international stage[,] and I can't believe it's finally happening!" the drag queen wrote.

"Thank you for all the love and support! We will fight, and we will get that crown!" she added.
