Netflix announces lower subscription rates in the most hilarious manner
Get, get, aw!
On social media Tuesday, Netflix announced some welcome good news in the best possible manner!
Borrowing Sex Bomb's "Spaghetti Song," the streaming giant announced it will be lowering its subscription rates beginning today.
Netflix users currently subscribed to the Basic Plan will now pay only P249 monthly, down from the previous price of P349.
Subscribers under the Standard Plan meanwhile can now Netflix and chill for a monthly fee of just P399, down from the previous price of P459.
New members who sign up for Netflix can enjoy the new price for the plans immediately starting February 21, 2023.
Sadly, Mobile Plan and Premium Plan subscribers will still pay the same monthly subscription fee of P149 and P549 per month, respectively.
But that's hardly bad news, especially when we're all treated to a Sex Bomb's cultural gem.
On social media, Netflix Philippines released a video of six Sex Bomb dancers dancing to their popular hit, edited to remind us of the old afternoon drama "Daisy Siete."
Somewhere in the video, the Sex Bomb dancers changed and dressed as various characters from popular Netflix series — think "Bridgerton," "Squid Game," and "Wednesday" — and continued to dance the "Spaghetti Song." It's a wonderful sensory experience, really.
Within the first hour of posting on Facebook, Netflix's video has generated nearly 50K views, more than 6K engagements, and nearly 1K excited comments.
