Ben&Ben's 'Kayumanggi' gets a 'Maria Clara at Ibarra' music video

Ben&Ben’s song “Kayumanggi” just got a very fitting music video, featuring none other than “Maria Clara at Ibarra.”

The folk-pop song from the band’s 2021 album “Pebble House, Vol. 1: Kwaderno” gives the message of being proud of one’s Filipino identity, which is very in line with the theme of the historical drama.

The music video features some iconic scenes from “Maria Clara at Ibarra,” such as Klay and Fidel’s accidental kiss, Maria Clara in the monastery, Sisa’s death, the rebellion led by Elias, and the unforgettable “Dinggin niyo kami” moment.

Ben&Ben has been a fan of the series right from the start. After the show's pilot week, vocalist Paolo Benjamin tweeted, “#MariaClaraAtIbarra is such a groundbreaking show. Kudos to everyone involved.”
