Parokya ni Edgar memorabilia auctioned for Gab Chee Kee sold for more than P100k
The Parokya ni Edgar memorabilia put up for auction by vocalist Chito Miranda to help pay for guitarist Gab Chee Kee’s medical bills have been sold.
According to his Instagram post, the school polo Chito wore in the “Bagsakan” music video was sold for P150,000.
“[Tapos] nahanap ko yung slacks at yung cap so sinama ko na,” the musician said.
The puppets the band used for the “Halina sa Parokya” album cover, named Mr. Suave and Chito Matsing, have also been sold for P85,000.
“Maraming maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nag-bid,” Chito said. “Sobrang laking tulong po nito for Gab!!!”
He added, “Sana mahanap namin polo ni Sir Kiko.”
Chito also used the hashtag #WalangIwananSaParokyaBand.
Ever since Chito revealed that Gab was hospitalized due to pneumonia, a complication brought on by his lymphoma, their friends in the industry have been holding various fundraising initiatives to help with Gab's hospital bills.
Typecast auctioned a signed D&D acoustic guitar for P50,000. There was also the Eraserheads-signed guitar that sold for P1.3 million.
A fundraising gig titled Resbak Para Kay Gab, featuring top OPM artists, is also set for March 4.
Last week, the band said that Gab is still in the ICU but is “steadily improving.”
