Filipino singer Peter Rosalita receives a standing ovation on 'America’s Got Talent' audition
Peter Rosalita is back on the “America’s Got Talent” stage, this time for the reality show’s all-star season.
Now 11 years old, the young Filipino singer from Abu Dhabi first finished as a semi-finalist on Season 16. During his final performance, Peter experienced a setback on stage where he had to restart his song.
“Now [that] I’m back, I feel more confident and I grew a little [taller],” Peter said. “This is my second chance. I’m gonna make sure that there’ll be no hiccups.”
During his new audition, Peter told Simon Cowell that his dream is “to become an international singer and to have [his] own album.”
Simon told him, “You’re very talented,” and wished him good luck. Judge Heidi Klum was likewise happy to see him again, and called him “still one of the best-dressed men in showbiz.”
Peter then sang “Go the Distance,” originally by Michael Bolton.
After his strong performance, Peter received a standing ovation from the judges and the audience.
“Peter, you are a star in the making. You really came here to fight and I love that about you,” Heidi said.
Howie added, “You said that you were really nervous, you also said you have a really sore throat. That [performance] was amazing without knowing all that.”
“But knowing all that and your age — well done, young man. Really, well done,” he added.
Simon told Peter, “Your voice has actually got better.”
“Now I know there’s still a lot of people to come. Having said that, that might be enough to put you through to the final,” he added. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
