'Drag Den PH' queens flaunt best bridal looks, vows in latest ep; Aries Night, O-A clinch a tie win

While same-sex civil unions are still not legally recognized in the Philippines, the eight competing queens of "Drag Den Philippines" got to live their dream of wearing bridal dresses in the show's Episode 5, dubbed "Pinoy Tradition."

For this episode, world-renowned Filipino fashion designer Francis Libiran joined Manila Luzon and Nicole Cordoves as the panel of judges.

During the main challenge runway, the queens manifested different kinds of love through their vows while clad in unique bridal numbers.

Starting with Lady Gagita, who dedicated her vows to her long-time boyfriend, followed by O-A, who also devoted her vow to her partner, whom she fondly called "asawa ko."

"Whether I fall in cliffs or drown in seas, you will always be there for me," O-A said.

Meanwhile, Barbie-Q caused waterworks to the judges as she dedicated her vows to her mother, who's suffering from Alzheimer's Disease.

"Mama, I wish that just for this day, the Lord gives back your memories so when you watch this, you will be filled with pride and joy," Barbie-Q said.

Pura Luka Vega delivered a self-love vow, followed by Maria Cristina, who dedicated her vows to her estranged parents.

Shewarma walked the runway in her self-made bridal dress in honor of her late grandmother, followed by Aries Night, who creatively interpreted a church through her veil with a cross as a pièce de résistance.

Aries Night dedicated her vows to her sisters, whom she described as her "anchor."

"Our mama may have left us too soon, and I may not be able to fill completely the void that she left, but I promise that kuya will always be there for the both of you," she said.

Last but not least, NAIA delivered a satirical vow dedicated to her sugar daddy as she walked the runway in a fiery red ensemble.

After tough deliberations among the queens, Manila Luzon announced a tie for this week's winner, and those are O-A and Aries Night, who both rose from the ranks after getting the least scores in the two previous episodes.

Five episodes in, and the competition is definitely getting hotter in "Drag Den Philippines." Previously, actresses Glaiza de Castro and Ryza Cenon reacted to Lady Gagita and Naia's impersonations of their TV characters in the drag show.

"Drag Den Philippines" airs every Thursday exclusively on Prime Video.
