Direk Mark Reyes thrilled as Toei Japan features 'Voltes V: Legacy' on their website
Japan's Toei Company just featured "Voltes V: Legacy" on their website!
Direk Mark Reyes shared the news on Instagram, expressing his disbelief over the development.
"Never thought I would ever see my name credited on TOEI Co. Japan’s website," he said. "This is the official annoucement for @voltesvlegacy as a fully licensed franchise."
Toei Company is the original maker of "Voltes V." In the statement posted on their website, they talked about the popularity of the classic anime in the Philippines, which first aired in the country in the '70s.
According to a report on GMA Entertainment, Toei credited GMA for producing such an expensive project and its director Mark Reyes "who has both skill and experience in live-action films in the Philippines."
Cast members like Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Carla Abellana, and Dennis Trillo were also mentioned in the article.
