Jisoo of BLACKPINK to make solo debut this year with new album

Jisoo's solo album is finally coming!

According to a Soompi report, Monday, YG Entertainment confirmed that the BLACKPINK member is set to make her debut this 2023. It added that she is now in the middle of recording.

"While carrying out a busy world tour schedule since last year, she finished the album jacket photo shoot and worked on music production whenever she got time in order to keep the promise with fans," the statement read.

As of this writing, Jisoo is among the top trending topics on Philippine Twitter with over 127,000 tweets.

Jisoo is the last BLACKPINK member to make a solo debut. She immediately followed Lisa, who made her debut with "Lalisa" in September 2021.

Rosé and Jennie, meanwhile, dropped "On the Ground" and "Solo" in March 2021 and November 2018, respectively.

Named as TIME's Entertainer of the Year for 2022, BLACKPINK is setting the Philippines on fire with the Manila leg of their "Born Pink" world tour in March.
