August Rigo says working with SB19 is pleasure, teases 'more to come'
August Rigo has nothing but kind words for SB19 following their project.
The top music producer worked with the group for their rendition of the Eraserheads classic song “Christmas Party,” in which they gave the song a P-Pop twist.
Keeping the festive and nostalgic feels of the original, this version has added dance-pop, old-school hip-hop, and some funk elements.
“One for the holidays with @officialsb19 version of @eraserheads_official classic Christmas Party!!! Had the pleasure of producing this one for the guys,” August said on Instagram. He also posted a photo and video with the boys in the studio.
And it looks like A’Tin has something to look forward to, because August teased, “More to come!!!”
SB19 recorded the song during the Los Angeles stop of their WYAT world tour, and member Stell said that recording in another country felt “surreal.”
Aside from SB19, the Filipino-Canadian artist is best known for co-writing songs like “Black Swan” by BTS and “U Smile” by Justin Bieber, among many others.
Meanwhile, the Eraserheads also performed “Christmas Party,” at their much-awaited Huling El Bimbo reunion concert, and even brought out Gary V to sing the song with them.
