5 tips to welcome luck inside your homes in 2023

There are many ways to attract luck into our homes this coming new year and in Wednesday's episode of "Unang Hirit," Feng Shui expert Jean Chua shared five things we can do to ensure we welcome 2023 in a positive note.

1. Keep your home clean

While it's advisable to keep your homes clean all year round, Chua said it's more than necessary to deep clean the house before welcoming the new year. 

"Declutter all the mess so new energy will come up," the Feng Shui expert advised.

2. Use blue, green, or yellow curtains

When it comes to home curtains, Chua said that the simpler, the better. For 2023, green, blue, and yellow are the lucky colors.

“Iwasan natin [yung] maraming designs, masyado kasing magulo. It will attract negative [vibes],” she said.

[Avoid curtains with complicated designs as they will attract negative vibes.]

In Feng Shui, blue stands for wisdom, knowledge, and intelligence and is particularly lucky this 2023 because it's the year of the Water Rabbit.

3. Don't keep the dining table empty

To attract abundance in the kitchen, don't keep the dining table empty. Chua advised keeping fruits like apples on the table, which signifies peace and harmony.

"Always put something [on the table] like candies, fruits [to attract more blessings and abundance," she added.

4. Add metallic accents in the living room

Given that the living room is where families spend time the most and where they entertain guests, Chua suggested adding metallic accents on the sala, especially on the throw pillows.

"For the throw pillows, you can use metallic or shiny colors for bright energy," she said.

5. Use pastel colors for bedsheets, comforters

Contrary to the bright colors suggested in the living area, pastel or earth colors in the bedroom are a must, to attract good rest and sleep.

“Kailangan din may headboard for good support, and pastel and earth colors for bedsheet and comforter para makatulog nang maayos,” she said.

[It is also necessary to have a headboard for good support and pastel and earth colors for bedsheets and comforters for a good night's sleep.]

Meanwhile, Feng Shui expert Johnson Chua also shared tips for attracting luck into your wallets, such as using a red purse and keeping lucky charms inside your wallet, among others.
