3 tips for a luckier wallet in 2023, according to a Feng Shui expert

With the New Year come various ways, tips, and pieces of advice on how to usher in better luck. 

In Tuesday’s episode of “Unang Hirit,” Feng Shui consultant Johnson Chua gave three tips on how to bring luck to your wallet this coming 2023.

1. Use a red wallet

Generally speaking, using a red wallet attracts luck when it comes to a person’s cash flow. But Chua also said using a brown wallet is ideal since it’s an “earth color.”

“Kahit ‘yung existing wallet mo, pwede pa rin maging swerte gamit ‘yung mga [lucky charm] na pwede mo ilagay sa loob,” he said.

[Even with your existing wallet, you can still bring luck by keeping lucky charms inside it.]

2. Putting money with the number “9” on it inside Ampao

The number 9, according to the Feng Shui expert, symbolizes power and success. So, keeping a bill with the number 9 on its serial number is considered lucky.

All you have to do is fold the bill, put it inside an Ampao (Chinese red envelope) and keep it in your wallet.

3. Keep lucky charms inside your wallet

Aside from using a red wallet and keeping a bill with a lucky number, another thing you can do to attract luck in your finances is to keep a lucky charm inside your purse, one of which is the Chinese Three Coin.

“The Chinese Three Coin tied in red strings [signifies] trinity: heaven, earth, and man,” Chua said. “‘Pag meron ka [nito] sa wallet mo, ibig sabihin ‘yung pera mo walang katapusan, mabilis ang ikot.”

[When you have this in your wallet, it means that your money is endless; the cash flow is fast]
