How did Juliana Gomez end up going to prom with Aga Muhlach’s son Andres?

Juliana Gomez went to prom with Andres Muhlach, and how it happened also came as a surprise to her.

In an episode of “Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel,” Juliana revealed that she went with Andres to his prom at school. 

“His dad [Aga Muhlach] asked my dad [Richard Gomez] for permission,” she said. “My dad just told me ‘Tito Aga’s son Andres will message you. You’ll go to prom daw with him.’ Ako naman, I said ‘sure.’”

Though they have been friends since they were kids, Juliana said it was only that prom night that they were able to catch up. Fortunately, they “got along instantly.”

“II’m not sure if he was nervous. It was a very fun night. I think maybe picking me up from the house was a little enough for him ‘cause my mom was there and then my dad was there.”

“We were just having fun,” she added. “It was a good night and I remember, there, you found a bond.”

Juliana said she is also in touch with Andres’ sister Atasha, who represented the Philippines at the prestigious Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris last November.

Just recently, Juliana made headlines for winning gold in fencing competitions in Thailand and Indonesia. Andres, meanwhile, is a college student in Spain. — Franchesca Viernes/BM, GMA Integrated News
