Alesso postpones Manila concert hours before performance, later posts video from Bali
Alesso was a no-show at his Manila concert meant to be held on December 17 at the SMDC Festival Grounds.
The Swedish DJ was the night’s headliner, with supporting acts Ace Ramos, Martin Pulgar, Marc Marasigan, Rico Arce, KATDJ, Deuce, Katsy Lee, David Ardiente, and ACRAZE. Alesso’s set was scheduled for 12 a.m., with Rico Arce set to open the show at 6:30 p.m.
However, at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, concert organizers Ovation Productions posted, “ALESSO UPDATE: Doors moved to 7 p.m. due to inclement weather.”

In a now-deleted Facebook post that is still making the rounds online, the company announced hours before Alesso’s set that the DJ will no longer be performing.
Ovation added that ACRAZE was still performing and that entrance to the night’s show will be free. Tickets were priced at P4,990 and P6,990.
Later, Alesso posted an Instagram video of having a DJ set in Bali on Saturday, at around the same time he was supposed to perform in Manila.
It is not clear exactly when the Bali show was held, but fans took to his comments section to demand an explanation why he bailed on his fans in Manila.
In an Instagram Story, Alesso said the circumstances were out of his control.
"Manila, due to circumstances that were out of my own control, I'm deeply sorry that my show was cancelled," he said. "Me and my team are doing our best to make this up to you. I'm so sorry for this!"
