Margot Robbie breathes life into Barbie in official teaser of live-action film

It's happening — Barbie is coming to life.

Warner Bros. Pictures just unveiled the official teaser video for "Barbie," a live action take on the classic dolls that have previously inspired animated shows and films.

"Suicide Squad" star Margot Robbie makes for a very convincing Barbie, with her blonde hair, tan skin, and superstar smile.

"Since the beginning of time, since the first little girl ever existed, there have been…dolls.  But the dolls were always and forever baby dolls," the voice over said in the trailer. "Until 'Barbie.'"

The trailer showed short clips of what to expect:. Ryan Gosling as Ken, Simu Liu dancing, and a city dominated by the color pink.

Directed by Greta Gerwig (“Little Women,” “Ladybird”), "Barbie" will hit Philippine cinemas in July 2023. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
