Lea Salonga surprises bride at her wedding with a couple of Disney songs

Lea Salonga just surprised a Disney fan at her wedding, making it the bride’s most magical night ever.

In the video shared by Matt & Meredith Films on YouTube, the bride’s father said “anything Disney meant the world” to his daughter. 

As such, he wanted someone who’s been a part of his daughter’s favorite movies to be present when they dance.

With “Aladdin” in mind, he thought of Lea Salonga.

She came through and gave a live performance — not just of “A Whole New World” from Aladdin, but of “Reflection” from Mulan, too!

“I have done the singing voices for two Disney princesses, which is why I’m here,” Lea said. “Lucky for us, because she’s such a big fan, a couple of her favorite songs happened to be the ones I got to do.”

Before leaving, Lea gave the bride a big hug and wished her well for the new chapter in her life.

Just last September, Lea was named among the TIME100 Impact awardees for being a “role model for children of color” by being the “Voice of Disney Princesses.”

Having been the voice of princesses Jasmine and Mulan, Lea told TIME Magazine that she is happy to “be that for someone else,” especially the kids.

TIME Magazine also noted how Lea proved that a child from Southeast Asia can reach great heights when she made a Tony Award-winning performance in Miss Saigon in 1989. — LA, GMA News
