Jin of BTS performs 'The Astronaut' live with Coldplay in Argentina
The Astronaut has landed in Argentina.
Jin of BTS joined Coldplay in their stadium concert in Buenos Aires, where they performed the "The Astronaut" for the first time.
In front of an estimated 70,000 people, Jin sang his heart out to his solo debut single, backed by Coldplay, who co-wrote the song. The show was also broadcasted in over 3,500 cinemas across more than 75 countries and regions around the globe.
There were heartwarming moments, like when Jin ran up to hug frontman Chris Martin, and when the two shared the mic and sang together at the end.
And although the stadium was filled to the brim with Coldplay fans, it looks like a bunch of them are also ARMYs, because they were sure to chant Jin's full name — Kim Seokjin — during his performance.
Jin has been making waves around the world since he announced his solo single. Shortly after "The Astronaut" was released on Friday, it racked up millions of views on YouTube, hundreds of thousands of sales in South Korea, and hit no. 1 on iTunes charts in at least 90 countries.
Now he got to collaborate and perform with his longtime idol, Coldplay!
