Jin of BTS makes his long-awaited solo debut with otherworldly single 'The Astronaut'

Chills! Jin of BTS finally made his official solo debut and he didn't disappoint.

The South Korean superstar released "The Astronaut" on Friday, and the music video is nothing less than a cinematic masterpiece.

Co-written by none other than Coldplay, "The Astronaut" reflects Jin's love for his fans, the ARMY, who propelled him and the other BTS members to global stardom.

The music video meanwhile shows Jin as the astronaut who makes a crash landing on Earth and adjusts to the human world.

Jin is the second member of BTS to debut as a solo artist, following rapper J-Hope. He is currently in Argentina, where he is set to perform "The Astronaut" live for the first time during Coldplay's stadium concert.

His previous solo songs "Tonight," "Abyss," and "Super Tuna," which were initially posted on Soundcloud, have also been made available on paid streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. —JCB, GMA News
