A new ‘Percy Jackson’ book is coming out in 2023

Hey demigods, a new Percy Jackson book is coming out in 2023!

“Nearly a decade after the release of THE BLOOD OF OLYMPUS [in 2014], Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, and Grover Underwood will star in a brand new adventure from Rick Riordan!” The author announced on Twitter.

Titled “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Chalice of the Gods,” the book will go on sale on September 26, 2023.

It will feature the original trio of Percy, Annabeth, and Grover from the first book in the series “The Lightning Thief.”

According to Riordan’s website, the trio will reunite “for their biggest challenge yet: getting Percy into college.”

The synopsis read, “After saving the world multiple times, Percy Jackson is hoping to have a normal senior year of high school. Unfortunately, the gods aren’t quite done with him. Percy will have to fulfill a new quest in order to get the necessary letter of recommendation from Mount Olympus for his application to New Rome University.”

The mission is to help Ganymede, Zeus’ cupbearer. He lost his goblet and the trio needs to retrieve it before it falls into the wrong hands. This is because one sip from it can turn a mortal into a god.

The “Percy Jackson & the Olympians” fantasy novel series is best known as a modern, relatable take on Greek mythology. Two sequel series “The Heroes of Olympus” and “The Trials of Apollo” have also gained success.

The series, "Percy Jackson and the Olympians," will premiere soon on Disney+. — LA, GMA News
