Jin of BTS is officially making his solo debut at the end of October

Jin is going to be the second member of BTS to officially debut as a solo artist.

According to reports, BigHit Music has confirmed that the vocalist will release his single at the end of October. Jin personally revealed that he's making his solo debut during BTS' concert in Busan, South Korea over the weekend.

Another report claimed that Jin's upcoming song was gifted to him by English rock band Coldplay, who BTS previously collaborated with for the hit song "My Universe."

Neither BTS nor Coldplay has confirmed the news yet.

Jin is debuting as a solo artist nine years after BTS was launched by BigHit Music. He has previously released unofficial and self-penned singles such as "Abyss" and "Tonight" on Soundcloud.

He is also the voice behind the solo songs "Awake," "Epiphany" and "Moon," which are included in BTS' albums "Wings," "Love Yourself: Answer" and "Map of the Soul 7."

Following the promotions, Jin will enlist in mandatory military service, as announced by the agency on Monday. The other members are said to enlist according to their personal plans.

BTS is estimated to reconvene as a group in 2025. —JCB, GMA News
