Halle Bailey shares new 'Little Mermaid' poster, says she's 'immensely honored' to play Ariel
Halle Bailey just shared another glimpse at her "The Little Mermaid" character, Ariel.
The actress unveiled the latest poster of the upcoming live-action film on Twitter. It showed her as the much loved mermaid sitting on a rock on the seabed.

"Words can’t describe how immensely honored I feel to play the mermaid of my dreams, Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid," she captioned.
She also announced that the movie will hit theaters on May 26, 2023.
Disney unveiled the trailer for "The Little Mermaid" last month. It featured Halle singing the iconic "Part of Your World" from the original 1989 animated film.
Directed by Rob Marshall, "The Little Mermaid" also features Daveed Diggs as the voice of Sebastian, Awkwafina as the voice of Scuttle, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Art Malik as Sir Grimsby, Noma Dumezweni as Queen Selina, and Javier Bardem as King Triton. —JCB, GMA News
