'The Crown' Season 5 announces premiere date
"The Crown" Season 5 is officially on its way!
The Netflix series on Sunday released a teaser poster showing a cracked wall a frame. It also included the premiere date: November 9.
The latest season will pick up on the events leading to Prince Charles and Princess Diana's divorce, among others.
Season 5 boasts of a new cast, with Imelda Staunton playing Queen Elizabeth II, taking over the roles previously played by Claire Foy and Olivia Colman.
Other cast members include Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, and Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret.
Based on historical events, "The Crown" dramatizes the "political and personal events" that shaped Queen Elizabeth II's reign as the British monarch.
Its first four seasons are currently on Netflix.
