Makoto Shinkai's 'Suzume no Tojimari' unveils magical new poster
Makoto Shinkai's upcoming film "Suzume no Tojimari" just got another breathtaking key visual.
In the newly-released poster, the main character, Suzume Iwato is seen opening a door, a chair in her grasp.
Behind her is a long-haired man previously revealed to be named Souta Munakata.
If you're wondering why it looks like they're stepping out from a different world, that's because they are. The film follows Suzume as she encounters Souta, who tells her that he's looking for a door.
When she finds the door, she opens it, and discovers that such portals could bring disaster to certain parts of Japan.
"Suzume no Tojimari," which translates to "Suzume's Door-Locking," is Shinkai's first film in three years, a followup to 2019's "Weathering With You."
In 2016, he released "Your Name," which went on to become one of the highest-grossing anime films of all time. —JCB, GMA News
