Atom Araullo shares old photos with The Eraserheads from 1994
Atom Araullo on Instagram Wednesday shared a couple of photos with The Eraserheads taken in 1994, right when the band was lording it over the airwaves.
Phew, what is a throwback!
According to the Kapuso journalist, he was actually interviewing the band at the UP Sunken Garden, for the show "5 and Up."
"Trivia: sabi ni Raymund Marasign dito raw nila sinimulang isulat yung ‘Overdrive’," Atom said tagging the former Eheads drummer.
"Astig 'no?" he added.
Ever the journo, Atom identified everybody else with them: "Kasama sa litrato si Ann (black top), yung dati nilang road manager na na-feature naman namin para sa isang I-Witness docu just last year on a totally different topic — sobrang random. The cameraman is Tito Sam, the soundman is Kuya Jonathan, and the assistant is Kuya Chiong. Finally, our producer extraordinaire is THE Pol Mangilog/@pinaytraveller (gray shirt, looking super cool at 24), who had the incredible foresight to bring a camera with her to take these photos."
In the photos, one could easily pinpoint the famous foursome: Eheads guitarist Marcus Adoro in red with a guitar between his legs, bassist Buddy Zabala who was in between Atom and Ann, Ely held the guitar properly across his chest, and Raymund on the far left, holding what looks like a plastic bag.
"Ok now I feel old," he ended his trip down memory lane as he used the hashtags #Eheads, #5andUp, #SunkenGarden.
The Eraserheads are back in the conversation after announcing a reunion concert that will take place in December.
