Pia Wurtzbach designs own line of carpets and rugs

Don't look now but Pia Wurtzbach has also just designed her own line of rugs and carpets!

The Miss Universe 2015 shared the news on Instagram, Sunday, with a sneak peek at some of her creations, saying they’re inspired by her visions of the world. 

In collaboration with Studio Soliven, the pieces are designed by Pia “with specific cities in mind and [translated] visually by incorporating distinctive patterns, interesting shapes, and pops of color.” 

Included in the collection are pieces inspired by Cebu, Dubai, Hong Kong, Marrakech, Las Vegas, New York, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Berlin, Manila, Amsterdam, London, Zurich, and Sao Paolo.

According to Pia, the project took almost two years. It started when her interest in home design piqued while she was fixing up her condo.

“I didn’t think I’ll have this kind of connection with home design but here I am, designing my first carpets. It’s been a joy for me and I hope you guys like it too,” she wrote in her caption.

“Our floors carry everything for us in our home, and making it look beautiful with rugs that depict my personal style truly make me happy especially now that I’m about to move into my own house.”

Having a few of her pieces in her condo, Pia can also attest that each one will make you feel at home.
