Happy never after? Disney releases trailer for ‘Disenchanted’
It’s the sequel you’ve been waiting for!
At this year’s D23 Expo, Walt Disney Studios finally released the trailer for “Disenchanted,” the followup to the crowd-favorite “Enchanted,” which mixed a fairytale animation with real life.
“Disenchanted” takes place 15 years after the first movie, when Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert (Patrick Dempsey) seemingly found their happily ever after.
However, in this sequel, Giselle has become disillusioned with life in New York City, so their family moves to the suburbs. Being frustrated with her happily ever after, Giselle turns to the magic of Andalasia to wish for a fairytale life in their new town.
Their family has to deal with the consequences of this big change and try to figure out what happily ever after truly means.
The film brought back the two original lead stars, plus Idina Menzel, James Marsden, and new cast members Maya Rudolph, Gabriella Baldacchino, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Jayma Mays.
“Disenchanted” starts streaming in November on Disney+. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA News
