'Kimi ni Todoke' live-action adaptation in the works at Netflix

A new "Kimi ni Todoke" adaptation is in the works!

According to a report on Anime News Network, a live-action series is in development at Netflix for 2023.

Sawako Kuronuma will be played by Sara Minami, while Shota Kazahaya will be played by ?ji Suzuka, the report added.

Based on the romance manga by Karuho Shiina, "Kimi ni Todoke" follows high school girl Sawako Kuronuma who is ostracized by her classmates because of her resemblance with Sadako from "The Ring." Things change when the popular Shota Kazahaya begins talking to her.

The manga was published by Shueisha from 2005 to 2017. In 2010, it was adapted into a live action film. —JCB, GMA News
