SEVENTEEN's Dino tests positive for COVID-19, to sit out of some group schedules
SEVENTEEN's Dino has tested positive for COVID-19, record label PLEDIS Entertainment announced.
According to the translated statement on Soompi, the 13 members took a PCR test, but Dino was the only one who tested positive.
“He is currently experiencing a mild sore throat and has been under self-quarantine and administering self-treatment, away from the other members,” the statement said.
Due to this, he will sit out SEVENTEEN’s Los Angeles concert on August 17 and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” guesting on August 18.
Meanwhile, the Houston concert on August 20 “will proceed as planned with the 12 members except Dino who will thoroughly comply with the guidelines of the health authorities in the United States.”
PLEDIS Entertainment assured that they will continue to provide support for Dino’s quick recovery as they highly prioritize the health and safety of their artists.
SEVENTEEN is currently on their “Be the Sun” world tour. They are set to perform in Manila on October 8 and 9.
This year, they released their “Face the Sun” and “Sector 17” albums. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA News
