Girls' Generation recreates 'Gee' ahead of comeback
Girls’ Generation revamped “Gee” in photo and video teasers for their “FOREVER 1” comeback.
The group served nostalgia as they wore the same styling from their 2009 hit song, captioning their group photo as “New Gee.”
Released on August 5 at midnight (Korea time), it is in line with the group’s 15th debut anniversary.
“FOREVER 1” is Girls’ Generation’s upcoming seventh album. It will feature 10 tracks including the title track of the same name. This is their first comeback as a full group in five years.
Their most recent album “Holiday Night,” was released in 2017.
The group of Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun debuted on August 5, 2007 with “Into the New World.”
The veteran girl group will be releasing their album on all digital music streaming platforms today at 5 p.m. (Philippine time). —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA News
