‘Ang Huling El Bimbo’ opens auditions
“Ang Huling El Bimbo,” the hit musical told through iconic Eraserheads songs, have opened auditions for their restaging.
“Hindi mo na kailangan ang magtago't mahiya!” Full House Theater said in an Instagram call-out.
Interested actors just need to send a three-minute audition video singing a song from the musical, as well as their CV and half-body photo to aheb2023 [at] gmail [dot] com.
Deadline is at 5 p.m. on August 20.

The jukebox musical “Ang Huling El Bimbo,” premiered in 2018 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City, featuring at least 40 of the Eraserheads’ lyrics and melodies.
The story follows a group of four friends, who navigate university life as teens, and later on as adults whose past gives them problems with their work and personal lives.
It is written by Dingdong Novenario, directed and choreographed by Dexter Santos, with Myke Salomon as the musical director.
The Manila Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Rodel Colmenar and a live band provided the music. Gino Gonzales designed the set and Monino Duque did the lighting.
Some of the musical’s cast members include Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, Gian Magdangal, OJ Mariano, Jon Santos, and Gab Pangilinan, among other theater actors. — LA, GMA News
