Here are the nominees for the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards


MTV has announced the nominees for this year’s Video Music Awards, with Kendrick Lamar, Lil Nas X, and Jack Harlow leading the pack with seven nods each.

Harry Styles and Doja Cat follow with six nominations each, whereas Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, Drake, Taylor Swift, and Ed Sheeran are nominated in five categories.

 

 

 

Some first-time nominees include Måneskin, Kacey Musgraves, ITZY, Becky G, Dove Cameron, and more.

There is some intense competition for the show’s most prestigious award, Video of the Year. In the running are “Woman” by Doja Cat, “Way 2 Sexy” by Drake feat. Future and Young Thug, “Shivers” by Ed Sheeran, “As It Was” by Harry Styles, “Industry Baby” by Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow, “Brutal” by Olivia Rodrigo, and “All Too Well” (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) by Taylor Swift.

Meanwhile, fans are excited about the Best K-Pop category. The nominees are “Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” by BTS, “LOCO” by ITZY, “LALISA” by LISA, “HOT” by SEVENTEEN, “MANIAC” by Stray Kids, and “The Feels,” by TWICE.

The full list of nominees is posted on the VMAs’ Twitter, and fan voting has started on vote.mtv.com.

Held annually, the MTV VMAs honor the industry’s best in the music video medium. This year’s ceremony will be held at New Jersey’s Prudential Center on August 28, Sunday. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA News
