'The Sandman' takes us to different worlds in official trailer

Netflix just unveiled the official trailer for "The Sandman," breathing life into the well-loved character played by Tom Sturridge.

Based on the DC comic book series by Neil Gaiman, the story follows Dream, who is unexpectedly captured and held prisoner for a century, setting off a series of events that change both the dreaming and waking worlds.

In the trailer, Dream could be seen freed from his imprisonment, journeying through different worlds and timelines as he tries to track down magical items and face off against the nightmare Corinthian and the demon Lucifer.

"The Sandman" will premiere on Netflix on August 5. —JCB, GMA News
