Jennie of Blackpink just made an appearance on the trailer of the upcoming HBO series "The Idol."
In the one-minute teaser, the K-Pop idol was seen meditating with other members of the cast including Lily-Rose Depp.
Fans were quick to notice, showering the comments section with messages of support, encouragement, and excitement for the show's premiere.
"From some scenes, I see that it'll not be a soft drama, I'm curious to know what kind of character Jennie could play in a drama like this. But I'm already glad she's in it," one wrote.
As of this writing, Jennie is among the top trending topics on Philippine Twitter with over 270,000 tweets.
From the "sick and twisted minds" of The Weeknd's Abel Tesfaye and Sam Levinson, who is one of those behind "Euphoria," "The Idol" was described as the "sleaziest love story in all of Hollywood."
According to a Variety report, the series tells the story of a "self-help guru who develops a complicated relationship with an up-and-coming pop idol."
Apart from Jennie, Lily, and Abel, "The Idol" also stars Troye Sivan, Suzanna Son, and Steve Zissis. Its premiere date is yet to be announced.
