Emma Roberts reportedly joins Sony Marvel's 'Madame Web'

Emma Roberts has reportedly been cast in Sony Marvel's "Madame Web."

According to Deadline, the actress joins the star-studded film headlined by Dakota Johnson.

“Madame Web” serves as an origin story for the comic book character, an elderly woman whose psychic abilities allow her to see within the spider world itself. Due to her condition, she never battled villains herself.

This is Roberts' first Marvel movie. She recently wrapped production on the upcoming rom-com "Maybe I Do."

She is known for her roles in iconic films like "Aquamarine" (2003), "Wild Child" (2008), and "We're the Millers" (2013).

In 2020, she also starred in Netflix's holiday film "Holidate." —JCB, GMA News
