Live music is back! Here are 9 international artists confirmed to perform in Metro Manila
On Wednesday, Calum Scott became the latest international act confirmed to perform in Metro Manila and already, we're going bonkers.
Recent weeks have seen so many artists and concert promoters announce and confirm a Manila performance, or in Lany's case, a three-night bonanza.
For purposes of organization and aminin na natin, finances, allow us to list them down according to their concert dates. Some are closer to each other than the others so brace yourself.
Here's to live music being so back, baby!
1. Louis Tomlinson: July 16. New Frontier Theater
Live Nation Philippines announced the former One Direction singer will be dropping my by Manila in July before for his first world tour concludes in September 2022. Tickets, ranging from P1,500 to P4,100 are already on sale. Read more about it here.
2. Red Velvet: July 22. SM Mall of Asia Arena
The K-pop girl group is slated to perform at the "BE YOU The World Will Adjust," described by IPITI Inc. as a "celebration for people with special needs." Read more about it here.
3. The Script: Sept 23. SM Mall of Asia Arena
Concert promoters Wilbros Live announced on June 1 the confirmed concert of the Irish trio in September. Tickets will go on sale at 10am on June 11 at SM Tickets. The concert will be in support of The Script's "Tales From The Script" album. Read more about it here.
4. Calum Scott: October 20. New Frontier Theater
Calum Scott is set to return to Manila four years since his last visit for the Asian leg of his "Bridges" tour. Tickets, priced at P3750, will go on sale June 15 at ticketnet.com.ph. Read more about it here.
5. Justin Bieber: October 29. CCP Open Grounds
Five years since his last world tour, Justin Bieber is set on an impressive world tour in support of his latest record "Justice." Beginning May 2022, the new tour spans five continents, over 20 countries, and nearly 100 shows, including a pitstop in Manila, 11 year since his last visit.

6. Avril Lavigne: November 3. Smart Araneta Coliseum
After a couple of reschedules, Avril Lavigne's Manila concert is finally pushing through in November! Wilbros Live has advised tickets will still be valid on the new date so hold on to it!
7. Lany: November 11-13. SM Mall of Asia Arena
Shortly after Lany announced their return to Manila, Live Nation Philippines shared the beloved band will play a three-night bonanza in November, woooo! Tickets, ranging from P1950 to P6550, go up on sale June 10.
8. Alanis Morissette: November 18-19. SM Mall of Asia Arena
After a couple of resets, Ovation Productions said Alanis Morissette's two-night show will finally take place in November at the Mall of Asia Arena. Tickets from the previous 2021 schedule will be honored, the concert promoters assured. The concert will be to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Alanis' monumental album "Jagged Little Pill."
9. Westlife: Feb. 20, 2023. Smart Araneta Coliseum
Westlife's Manila concert isn't until February 20, 2023 but already, tickets have sold out! The Manila date is part of the Irish band's Wild Dreams Tour. Read more about it here.
