'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' begins production
It's happening! "Percy Jackson and the Olympians has officially kicked off production.
Creator Rick Riordan made the announcement on Friday, sharing photos from set on Twitter.

Last month, Disney announced that they've completed the casting for the main trio: Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, and Aryan Simhadri as Grover.
They also recently announced additional cast members: Megan Mullally, Jason Mantzoukas, Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, and Tim Sharp.
Disney's live-action series adaptation of Riordan's "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" book series has been in the works as early as May 2020.
The story follows Percy, a once normal boy who discovers he is the son of Poseidon when he comes of age. —JCB, GMA News
