BTS gets Spotify microsite 'Purple U' ahead of comeback
Spotify is definitely ready for BTS's comeback.
The streaming giant launched a microsite for the South Korean supergroup ahead of their comeback this June.
#SpotifyPurpleU enables fans to create their personal #MyBTSProof sharecards based on their selected BTS tracks. It is also packed with messages from BTS and countdown to their comeback.
Spotify also honored BTS for their notable achievements on the platform — the group has over 35 million monthly listeners and 50 million followers worldwide. They are also the first artist from Asia and the first K-Pop artist to join the Spotify Billions Club, with its track "Dynamite" which surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify in July 2021.
Additionally, BTS was the third most-streamed artist of 2021 with four of the five top K-Pop songs globally.
BTS is set to release their anthology album "Proof" on June 10, just days away from their ninth anniversary. It is their first album comeback since "BE" in 2020. —JCB, GMA News
