Disney's 'Pinocchio' releases magical first trailer, announces release date

We're a step closer to seeing the live-action remake of "Pinocchio"!

Disney unveiled a magical first trailer for the upcoming film, showing Gepetto (Tom Hanks) making a wish on a star.

"Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight," he said, reciting the lines from the original cartoon, "I wish I may, I wish I might have the wish I wish tonight."

The iconic song "When You Wish Upon A Star" also played in the trailer.

Cynthia Erivo also appears as the Blue Fairy that grants Gepetto's wish.

"Pinocchio," is based on the 1940 animated Disney film of the same name, which adapted the classic children’s novel “The Adventures of Pinocchio" by Carlo Collodi. The story follows a wooden puppet brought to life, who then goes on an adventure to become a real boy.

The live-action remake will be premiering on Disney+ on September 8. —JCB, GMA News
