’Tale of the Nine-Tailed’ confirmed for Season 2 with Lee Dong Wook, Kim Bum

“Tale of the Nine Tailed” is officially returning for a second season with Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum!

According to a Soompi report, the new season is titled “Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938” and it involves more action scenes while telling the story of Yi Yeon (Dong Wook) in the “chaotic era of 1938.”

“I’m happy to be able to take on ‘Tale of the Nine Tailed’ once again. I worked enjoyably with splendid staff and great actors. Please look forward to it,” Dong Wook said.

Kim Bum, meanwhile, will reprise his role as Yi Rang, who will still show his rebelloious stage as his and Yi Yeon’s relationship grow since their first meeting.

“I’m so very happy to work together [on the drama] following Season 1, which I poured a lot of affection into. Please highly anticipate the upcoming ‘Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938’ and Yi Rang,” he said.

The first season aired in 2020. It tells the story of nine-tailed fox Yi Yeon who spends centuries in human form after losing his mortal first love. It was also shown on GMA-7 in 2021.

Season 2 is scheduled for premiere in 2023. — LA, GMA News
