Tom Cruise storms the air in new 'Top Gun: Maverick' trailer
A new trailer for "Top Gun: Maverick" has landed and with it comes Tom Cruise's iconic Pete "Maverick" Mitchell — this time as a teacher.
Maverick is shown to be recruited to train a class of elite young pilots upon the request of Admiral Tom Kazansky, who was introduced in the first film as Iceman. True to form, his entrance is nothing but disruptive as he storms the air and introduces himself as their captain.
The training is to prepare the pilots for a dangerous mission.
However, it looks like there's some tension between Maverick and the son of his late best friend Goose.
"My dad believed in you. I'm not gonna make the same mistake," said Miles Teller's Bradley Bradshaw, who goes by Rooster.
Looks like Maverick is going to have to face the ghosts of his past.
"Top Gun: Maverick" is set to arrive in Philippine theaters on May 25. —JCB, GMA News
