Glaiza de Castro, husband David Rainey conquer Spartan Race together
Glaiza de Castro and her husband David Rainey conquered the Spartan Race together.
On Instagram, Saturday, Glaiza detailed their Spartan Race experience in Baguio.
"Truth to be told, we haven’t been training lately that’s why when we got invited by Merrell PH to participate again for Spartan Race I wasn’t too confident but thought it would be nice to join and let David see Baguio for the first time," she wrote in the caption of her post.
Glaiza said the two of them did the 10k trail run which she said felt like a trek for her since there were many uphills.
"I gave my all on the first and after reaching the top, I suddenly felt faint ( this happens to me when I haven’t been working out)," she wrote.
"This didn’t happen once, I was surprised to see more uphills and then I started singing 'The Climb' by Miley Cyrus in my head for more motivation," she added.
Glaiza said she also saw runners struggling but enjoying and taking their time, making her do the same.
"It’s amazing how nature can give us comfort in times of hardship if you can just stop for a while and breathe it all in," she wrote.
"I felt almost emotional when we got to the finish line Thank you David for motivating and guiding me and keeping up with my pace," she added.
"Looking forward to our next Spartan adventure. Arooooo," she ended her note.
Glaiza and David got married in Northern Ireland last October with a wedding ceremony held beside a castle. —JAB, GMA News.
