Broken appliances? This lolo will help you fix your stuff with YouTube tutorial videos
Ever had trouble fixing broken appliances in your home? Don't fret, Lolo Smart is here to help you!
As seen on Jamie Santos' report on "24 Oras Weekend," Sunday, Lolo Smart or Lolo Rodel in real life has been using his YouTube channel to share tips and step-by-step instructions to repairing appliances.
Apart from being a repairman for 40 years, Rodel also taught a vocational course at a school in Marilao, Bulacan. He wants to share his knowledge to those who need it most.
"Ang gusto ko manood ay kagaya ng isang padre de pamilya na walang alam talaga sa electronics. [Ito sana ay] masabayan niya kaya mahinahon, mabagal, detalyado, para masundan at matuto," he said.
["I want heads of the family who don't know anything about electronics to watch. I hope they'll be able to follow it so I do it calmly, slowly, detailed, so they can follow and learn."]
"'Pag natuto sila, karatula lang ang katapat, kikita na. Para sa mga nawalan ng trabaho, sa mga wala talagang trabaho, walang kakayanang pumasok," he added.
["When they learn, they can earn from it. This is also for those who lost their jobs, those who really don't have jobs, and those who can't go outside to work."]
Aside from fixing appliances, he is also the only one filming—he's a one-man team, as we call it.
As of writing, Lolo Smart has already garnered over 129,000 subscribers. He owes this to the first person who shared his videos on social media.
He's done over 20 videos on his channel. Among the things he already fixed include an electric fan, a microwave oven, Christmas lights, and a remote-controlled car.
