Did X-Men's Patrick Stewart just confirm he's in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?
After fans heard what sounded like Patrick Stewart's voice in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' official trailer, fans couldn't help but wonder if he really is in the film.
On Jake's Takes' interview with Patrick, he was asked how it was for him after the trailer was released.
"Well, I had my phone turned off as it happened, so I didn’t hear anything," he said. "It wasn’t until the next morning when I woke up and looked at my phone and found that I had been bombarded with responses and that my PR people had sent me reactions that they had detailed and passed onto me.
"I actually didn’t recognize my own voice, it sounded differentWhether I had a cold or something at the time, I don’t know," he added. "But I was astonished, and all they saw was the back of my shoulder, and I think my earlobe, nothing else."
"There would have been so many connections made. But, uh, it pleased me," Patrick said.
Fans have been speculating that his X-Men character Professor X will be appearing in the second Doctor Strange film.
In the same interview, Jake asked Patrick what would happen if Doctor Strange and Professor X met each other.
Patrick said, "Professor X would be extraordinarily cautious and watchful and perhaps feel a little insecure because there is something that is potentially dangerous about this man I think that would put Professor Xavier on God."
In the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer, viewers caught a brief audio cameo from what sounded like Patrick Stewart as Professor X from the "X-Men" series who also encountered Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).
"We should tell him the truth," the voice told Doctor Strange in the trailer.
"Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," set to be released in theaters on May 6, is the highly anticipated sequel to Marvel's 2016 blockbuster "Doctor Strange."
It stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. —JAB, GMA News.
