'Insidious 5' to begin filming this 2022

"Insidious 5" is definitely still a go!

According to a Collider report, the next installation of the "Insidious" franchise will enter production soon.

"We're scouting locations now, and we start shooting in the spring," series star Patrick Wilson said, confirming that the film was moving forward.

Wilson, who plays Josh Lambert in the "Insidious" movies, is set to make his directorial debut with the fifth film, the report added.

The film will also bring back Ty Simpkin's Dalton Lambert, who is set to start college in the sequel.

"Insidious," released in 2010, kickstarted the popular horror franchise, and spawned three sequels thus far. The story revolves around a family who experience paranormal events.

The latest installment, "Insidious: The Last Key," was released in 2018. —JCB, GMA News
