‘All of Us Are Dead’ director reveals four-story school was built on set
"All of Us Are Dead" director Lee Jae Kyoo has revealed that a four-story school was built on set for the series.
In a virtual press conference GMA News Online attended on Wednesday, the director said the location was an important aspect in making the show.
"Yes, I think space, the location in a zombie content is very important. There's a lot of blood—and that’s why I felt we needed a set of our own," he said.
"When we looked into the set, it was like one hundred meters wide," he added. "It was basically like a four-story school building inside the set and we would just be there all the time."
With the set design, the director said it felt like they were really going to school but a "gloomy" one.
"Apart from these great young actors, another main cast would be the school itself," he said.
"All of Us Are Dead" is set in a high school that becomes ground zero for a zombie virus outbreak. Trapped students must fight their way out or turn into one of the rabid infected, while the survivors seek a safe way out to get to their family and friends.
In the midst of a life or death struggle against the zombies, their characters are tested to the hilt and the students start making real friendships and understanding the meaning of love.
The series features Park Ji Hu, Yoon Chan Young, Cho Yi Hyun, Lomon, Yoo In Soo, Lee You Mi, and Lim Jae Hyeok, among other actors.
