SB19’s Pablo marks solo debut with ‘La Luna’

Pablo’s highly anticipated solo debut is finally here!

The SB19 leader marked his solo debut with the release of “La Luna.” The eclectic single, which sings about freeing yourself from the need to meet society’s unrealistic expectations, was composed and produced by Pablo himself.

According to Pablo, he decided to release “La Luna” as a way for him to confront his own personal battles.

“To be mentally healthy, we need to come to terms with ourselves, that what we feel is valid. We shouldn’t suppress it just so we can please everyone and avoid confrontation. There will always be black in white and white in black. We should maintain balance within us. That’s how we remain sane and alive,” Pablo said in a statement.

Highlighted with choral harmonies and hip-hop-inspired drums, the song hints of a cinematic vibe.

Pablo, who wrote all the songs on SB19’s “Pagsibol” album, explained, “I always like the cinematic feeling the music scoring brings upon movie scenes. It amplifies the emotion that is currently being portrayed. I decided to incorporate that in my music. I want it to be grand and full to bring out the intensity of the song’s emotion.”

Early this week, SB19’s single “Bazinga” set records after it spent the most number of weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart. – RC, GMA News
