Paramore to release first album in 5 years; Hayley Williams shares update from the studio
Paramore has reportedly gone back to the studio to record their first album in five years.
The rock band’s lead vocalist Hayley Williams just shared an update from the studio in a recent interview with Rolling Stones.
“We wrote and tracked something we loved and it actually surprised us,” Williams told the publication in an email.
“We kept joking it was all downhill from that point, but thank God we’ve been surprised a lot throughout this whole thing,” she added.
“I’m always waiting for the moment for us to know we’re onto something new and we’re not just rehashing the same shit.”
Hayley also opened up about how the band’s current trio — Zac Farro, Taylor York and herself — ended up back together after being apart for a few years.
“Paramore… feels like home,” she was quoted as saying.
Paramore’s sixth album had yet to have a title and release date as of Rolling Stones’ report.
The band, who are known for hits like "That's What You Get," "Ignorance," and "The Only Exception," released their last album “After Laughter” in 2017. —Margaret Claire Layug/JAB, GMA News.
