Enchanted Kingdom closes doors until January 16
Enchanted Kingdom in Santa Rosa, Laguna, is suspending its operations until Jan. 16 due to the rising number of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The management said it was closing its doors as it prioritized the safety of its guests and staff.
"Although Alert Level 2 and/or 3 allows Enchanted Kingdom to operate on a limited capacity, management has decided to voluntarily suspend its operations for the safety and health of both our guests and staff/cast members given the current increasing trend in COVID-19 infections in the country," its statement read.
EK said guests who had booked tickets via their online store could rebook anytime before the validity end date.
On Wednesday, the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases placed Laguna under a stricter Alert Level 3 following the sudden rise of COVID-19 cases in the province.
Under Alert Level 3, several establishments will be allowed to operate at 30% indoor venue capacity only for fully vaccinated individuals and 50% outdoor venue capacity, provided that all employees are fully vaccinated. – Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/RC, GMA News
